Hi there! I'm Costas. I hope you will linger and explore this blog, and return over time. I'm working hard to add different features to it and to reach out to olive oil producers in hopes of giving you exclusive behind-the-scenes looks into the olive oil scene in the U.S. and abroad. Along the way, you might find interesting news, weird news, recipes, reviews and more. But my sincere hope is that when you find a great bottle of olive oil, you'll let me know where I can find it! Cheers, Costas.

Nice pic, Costas. You really look like a Costas, you know that?
Did you hear the story on NPR today about olive oil producers fraudulently labeling their product extra virgin when it isn't? (And often cut with other types of oil -- vegetable, hazelnut, etc.) Scandalous!
They had an olive oil "expert" on talking about it, and I was thinking it really ought to be you instead.
Hi Costas, glad I found your site. I am from Cyprus but live in Greece. Greek oil is beyond any doubt the best (better than Cypriot). Although I must say that yesterday I heard something disturbing which I did not know. Only extra virgin olive oil is good. If the lable says refined olive oil, it's junk. It's produced from oils which have been used in restaurants etc., and they just process it and sell it again. You might like to look at my sites www.ivys-household-recipes-advice.blogspot.com and www.kopiaste.blogspot.com. I shall add you to my favourite blog sites.
